By downloading, installing, or using Fixy ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Fixy is a mobile application that allows users to photograph appliances, tools, or DIY tasks and receive AI-generated step-by-step guidance. The App is intended for informational and educational purposes only.
3. Important Disclaimer
Fixy does not replace professional advice.
The guidance provided by the App is generated by artificial intelligence and may not be accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific situation.
- Do not rely solely on Fixy for repairs involving gas, electricity, structural elements, or any task that could cause injury or property damage.
- Always consult a qualified professional when in doubt.
- John Signer assumes no liability for any damage, injury, or loss resulting from actions taken based on the App's output.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use this App. By using Fixy, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
Fixy offers the following subscription plans:
- Monthly: $6.99 per month
- Yearly: $37.99 per year (includes a 3-day free trial)
Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to their respective terms. Payment is charged to your store account upon confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Free trial: The 3-day free trial is available on the yearly plan for new subscribers only. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the yearly subscription fee will be charged.
To cancel your subscription, do so through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Fixy does not process cancellations directly.
No refunds are provided except where required by applicable law.
6. User Content
When you upload a photo to Fixy, you grant John Signer a limited, non-exclusive license to process that photo solely for the purpose of generating your repair guide. Photos are stored temporarily and are not used for any other purpose.
You are solely responsible for the content you upload. Do not upload photos containing personal information, other people, or any content that is unlawful or inappropriate.
7. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App
- Use the App to distribute spam or malicious content
- Circumvent any subscription or access restrictions
8. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and branding within Fixy — including the fox mascot — are the property of John Signer and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or distribute any part of the App without prior written consent.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Swiss law, John Signer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, or data loss.
10. Changes to Terms
John Signer reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. You will be notified of significant changes via the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Switzerland.
